Carrera Speed Fighter - 1:16 Scale User Review
"Great durable toy!. It is well built and very sturdy. And the charge (unlike many rc cars) lasts a long time. I gave this to my six year old (and me) for Christmas. He loves it. So do I. It has a fast and slow setting. He learned how to maneuver on the slow setting and can now race well on the fast setting. He repeatedly crashed it while he was learning how to use it and caused almost no damage to the car. Very impressive in terms of craftsmanship. Very rare today. It is worth the extra bucks. The Germans apparently make good toy cars as well as real cars!"

Revell Titanic Special 100th Anniversary

Before she had even set sail on her April 10, 1912 maiden voyage, the R.M.S. Titanic had already captured the world's imagination. The Titanic's reputation as the era's largest luxury liner wasn't just hyperbole, at full capacity, she would carry up to 3,547 passengers and 885 crewmen. The keel of the Titanic was laid March 31, 1909 about fifteen weeks after that of her sister ship the Olympic. Both liners were built simultaneously and fitted out to the highest levels of elegance and luxury for the period. It was intended that they would both sail in the White Star Line's prestigious transatlantic service. Initially Captain Edward John Smith took command of the Olympic but later joined Titanic for her maiden voyage which began on Wednesday April 10, 1912 when she set out from Southampton. The crossing proceeded without incident until Sunday April 14th when, at about 23.40 hours (ship's time), the look-out's bell rang warning of icebergs. The ship brushed an iceberg on her starboard side and sunk two hours and forty minutes later after the collision in the icy water of the Atlantic. Only 712 people survived the catastrophe and Captain Smith went down with his ship.

Customer Reviews For Trains Thomas with Annie and Clarabel
After a few seasons of nervously running my HO-scale model trains around our Christmas tree, I picked up this set (at a local mass retailer for a price much lower than what Amazon.com charges, BTW) for my 4 year-old son. I haven't owned a model train set in over 25 years and remember the horrors of track segments coming apart and locomotives breaking down after a few hours of running. Thankfully, the Annie & Clarabel coaches are heavy and are quite durable; along with the Thomas engine, all three are handsomely painted and well-detailed for an entry-level train set.

EZ-Track is among the greatest inventions in model railroading history - you can assemble the simple circle of track included in this train set in a few minutes and more importantly, the track stays together on carpeting or hard floors and can even be moved slightly without any separation. Plenty of additional track pieces are available on Amazon.com or your local hobby shop if you wish to expand Thomas's branch line.

We have been running this train for several days without incident. My son has been remarkably responsible with this set, and it has been a useful transition for him from the durable wooden trains to scale model railroading.

LEGO Star Wars Ultimate Collector's Millennium Falcon

The most iconic vessel in the Star Wars universe, the smuggler Han Solo won the Millennium Falcon from fellow rogue Lando Calrissian in a game of sabacc. Every detail of this famous, modified Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 freighter is packed into this model, which is constructed to scale. LEGO mini-figures of Han Solo, Chewbacca, Obi-Wan Kenobi, Luke Skywalker, and Princess Leia Organa are included, so you can really replay your favorite scenes. Start off by testing your skills as a pilot and see if you can navigate the Kessel Run in less than 12 parsecs, the way Han Solo claims to. Later, you'll want to stage an attack on the dangerous Death Star.

Huge, spectacular, and movie-accurate, the Millennium Falcon is the ultimate center piece of any Star Wars or Lego collection. When completed, this model is over 33-inches long, 22-inches wide, and eight-inches tall. Rotating top- and bottom-mounted quad-laser turrets, a radar dish that rotates and can be elevated, and a boarding ramp that can be extended are just some of the cool features included in this model. You can seat a crew of four mini-figures at the controls in the removable cockpit. And landing gear provides a stable base for model to stand on.
